Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the support I have been receiving on my more recently uploaded Legend of Zelda set:

Midna: [link] [link] [link]
Zelda: [link] [link] [link]

and the newest one
Sheik: [link] [link] [link]

I'm really happy that they have been really well received, and I look forward to sharing more art with you in the future.

If you are interested in ordering any prints from me. Please feel free to send me a note!

--------------------------------

Also, I wanted to answer a question about the watermarks that are on the newer pieces I have been uploading.

While I have been away from DA, I noticed several of my artworks have been stolen, as well as other Deviants, and reposted on other websites without any credit. Some of these websites steal artworks to use as "stock". So for example, they will cut out the character art, out of the background, and make them available for use as stock with transparent backgrounds for anyone to make anything out of them. These websites never provide credit or link back to the original artist of the pieces. They also use these stolen works as content for their website to generate income for themselves through Ads. :(

To me, I do not mind if my art is being reposted to different websites and shared with others, as long as it is left unaltered from the original. However, I want to be given credit and linked back, because at the very least, as an artist I can receive some promotion, and more people can discover my artworks. ^^;

I think that watermarking is an understandable alternative. Also, this is probably be the best deterrent to prevent artwork from being stolen and sold on eBay so easily, or finding it at a local Asian mall being sold unauthorized as a t-shirt/merchandise print. X__X

Thanks for reading!

I hate that but in all reality nayuki you know when your a good artist when some1 has to steal your stuff. Thats a bigger credit to you honestly. You should contact them in a calm way saying "I don't care that your using my art, just give me the credit". I dont know.

I had the pleasure meeting you briefly at MegaCon, don't know if you remember I was asking about Sakura from street fighter.

Yeah I know the kind of sites your talking about, people use those cut out pngs to create anime graphics like wallpapers right? I agree that at the very least they should give credit, and putting watermarks on your work was the right thing to do!

I find it sad that those who spend a lot of time on their work get shoved to corner while the one recolouring gets the fame. That's why we have watermarks but people still steal others work.
